How we make money

The short version

The same line appears next to every list of results on the website and in the app, so you see it where it matters.

How we earn

• Affiliate commissions. When you click Book on a live price from an approved partner and then book on that partner’s site, the partner may pay us a commission. You pay the partner’s price — the same price you’d see going to them directly.
• Company links. For branches without a partner price, Book opens the rental company’s own booking page with your dates, age and codes filled in. Where a company runs an approved affiliate program, that link may be an affiliate link; otherwise we earn nothing from it.
• No fees from you. We don’t charge a booking or service fee. If that ever changes, the fee will be shown as its own line in the total before you book.

How results are ordered

No one pays for placement. Results are ordered by the sort you choose — best match, lowest total or nearest — using the same rules for every company. A partner paying us a commission doesn’t move it up, and a company without a partner price isn’t pushed down.

Totals include every mandatory fee the partner reports, and the young-driver fee appears as its own line. When we can only estimate a fee from a company’s policy page, it’s labeled as an estimate with the source and the date we checked it.

Company names

Rental company names appear as plain text, and logos only where a partner’s rules allow (otherwise you’ll see a colored letter tile). Showing a company doesn’t mean it endorses Rent Your Car, and we don’t endorse any company.

Live prices come only from approved partner programs, used under their terms:

A partner appears in results only once it has approved us and is switched on. We never scrape rental sites or aggregators. Read more in About and Terms.
